Please note parking instructions for new meeting place in North Haven. Wally, Adam Padilla and Fred the EMT will be there to direct people in from the parking lot to the meeting room. He is asking us when we enter into the upper parking area bare to your left and follow around behind building to the lower parking lot. Try and park in the rear of the lot because there will still be some activity in the complex and we don't want to impede the emergency/rehab services. We will be using the Ambulance Entrance in the rear of the building. THANKS WALLY for the quick help here!!

What an awesome beginning everyone! Thanks to the new faces, the track crew and all the members that stepped up and helped out to keep Nutmeg alive. We are new, we are better and we are strong. Dirt Kart Racing is alive in CT and we have ourselves and Gary Beinkowski of The Berlin Lions Club to thank. They had a track without a club, we had a club without a track.......hopefully it will be a long and prosperous relationship. Thank You Berlin Lions, you are keeping the dreams of family fun alive and well!!!

Randy we're running 12 tooth drum clutches and unfortunately still working on the rear gear. Both Kelsey and Cole's karts had issues and we never got a chance to work out the final gear. I believe we'll be out there on low 60's this week to establish the final ratio... anywhere from a 60 up to a 63. That's about the best info I can offer at this time.. hope it helps.. Also received your classified info will start working on it tonight...

It was awesome seeing so many new people and all the smiling faces. Looks like we will have hefty Kart counts. People from RI, MA, NY and CT coming. Gaylord, we use AMB-it transponders, tranx160 rechargables. Go to amb-it.com to purchase them, I believe they are around $285 new. Makes the day easier, you can rent one at the track but there is a limited supply and people may have to end up sharing which can be very confusing.

I wish I had time to get over there to help, sounds like alot of work is getting done and everyone is having a good time doing it. Even if I race it would be on a limited schedule due to other commitments. I'll be there sooner or later. Gonna be an uphill battle to get the champ ready. Been working on it like crazy. I'll buy an ARC yellow motor at the end of this week. Then I have to save for tires/rims and clutch. I have an Intek 206 on it now. took it out yesterday for it's first test drive to "shake it down". It ran very well, quite impressed with the ugly duckling!

UPDATE ON PARKING:
If you want the same reserved parking spot every week the fee is $100 for the entire season. Please pay ASAP to reserve your spot. Spots assigned in order of payment received. Requests to pit near someone else will be honored for paid parking only.
All other parking will be based on arrival at the track. There will be no saving of spots or special parking arrangements for free parking. All trailers will be parked in the same manner, nose in, pitting out of the rear of the trailers.
This will make for an orderly and organized pit area with plenty of room for everyone.
Spectator only parking will be available free before the sign in booth. No pitting of Karts in the spectator parking area.
Any questions email me...Use PIT PARKING in the memo line.

In the attempt to make the Club more family friendly, Nutmeg announces the availability of Associate Family Memberships. Official rules will be updated soon but basically any immediate family member under 25 years old living at home may join the club under their family membership for 0nly $25 per season. They're membership commitment will also relaxed to participation in 1 race day committee and 1/2 the raffle requirement a full member. Official wording will be posted in the rules soon.

At our old track it was a pretty standard setup with tires 10" rims on the right and usually 8 1/2" LR and a 6" upfront. We usually ran around a 3/4"- 1" of rear stagger and about 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" stagger in the front. Not sure how much stagger we'll need this year. The track is much different..the good thing about that is everyone is starting fresh. Should make for some exciting racing.

We've had a lot of discussion about both. The clones run a set gear rule so we need to figure that out for everyone. Most likely we'll be on an 11 clutch driver and then we'll have to see where the rear gears take us. I would think it's going to end up around the high 60's or 70 but that's just a guess. As far as the tires go I've heard about 3 or 4 different ideas but I think it's all going to have to be worked out with chassis type and driving style..
